Advanced Labs (MSC 214 and 215)

The advanced labs are comprised of the physical chemistry laboratory and the advanced synthesis laboratory. These are adjoining labs that were designed to serve the needs of the upper level chemistry courses, including Environmental chemistry, Analytical chemistry I and II, and Integrated laboratory I, II, III, and IV. Independent projects will continue to be a part of the upper level sequence, and will be done in these rooms and well as faculty research laboratories. The Physical Chemistry Laboratory is the "dry" part of the lab, for computer and instrumentation-focused experimentation, while the Advanced Synthesis lab is the "wet" side, for more synthetic and wet chemistry applications. The Instrumentation Laboratory is adjacent for easy access to shared instrumentation.
